35 inch suspended Musky

Suspended Musky

A few weeks ago, a friend of Rob's called from the U.S to ask if he could come up to visit and try his luck at a musky.

It was a sunday morning, Rob Loic with guest Carol board the rebel on a sunny day. Windy in the morning but calling for a calm afternoon. The musky run began around 9am, trolling points, weed edges, rocky structures, channel drop offs. Several hours go by and not one hit. We had 3 lines going with varied lures: large swim'joe, large super beleiver and a small stalker. Runing each lure at diffrent depths, the joe being the shallow one, the beleiver being deep and the stalker being in between.

After a while we decided to cut through the channel and troll right in the middle in about 35 feet of water, FISH ON! The Swim N' Joe was the targeted lure. A true suspended musky, caught 2 feet below the surface in 35 feet of water. Although not a monster a nice fish for a first musky. Nice fish Carol!
