Lure:Swim N Joe

Trolling

After catching 2 bass the wind started picking up , it was getting too windy to cast. I decided to troll for musky, I came across a saddle ,13 feet at it's deepest part which showed great potential. Using a "swimming Joe" lure and trolling in an S pattern, after a a few passes,.. the reel started zzzzzing and spitting out line. I kept the boat moving until I had the rod out of the rod-holder with good bend on the rod and tight line.

The fish splashed a couple of times on it's way to the boat and after a couple of dives near the boat it swam into the net. The musky was well hooked and using bolt cutters I had to cut a hook to release the lure. 42 inch 24lb was my reward . The musky took about 15 minutes to recover and swim away to be pursued again. The swimming joe was destroyed by the musky's attack.
