Fishing before the Storm

The news was calling for severe storms yet the sun was out and the clouds seemed to be moving around instead over. Rob and Loic took a last minute decision to try out some pre-storm fish. Both of them we're hoping to catch a musky so they trolled back and forth a drop off near quarry point but with no luck. Time was very short and the evening was coming to an end fast.

Trolling stoped and they started casting. Nothing was bitting and the urge to move on was quite strong, but they stuck to their 2 spots. When the sun disapeared below the horizon, something hit. The stalker was retrieved with constant hard pulls to get a strong twitch of the lure in the water in hopes to disturb any predator lying around. Fish on! It was head tugging and bulldoging to the bottom. Rob was on the camera trying to film in hopes to win an award for best director, but it was time for the net! "Rob get the net!" Camera went off to the side showing the tackle box and recording the two guys swearing at fish that kept running at the sight of the net. Once in the fishing net it was unhooked and then left to relaxe for a minute before taking it out for pictures and then released.

The guys we're happy to have stuck to their spots, although not a musky it was still lots of fun.
